Welcome to the world of creativity and expression! I am thrilled to embark on this exciting journey as a first-year high school drama teacher. My name is Nicolette Trivlis, and I am passionate about the transformative power of theater.
With a BFA in Technical/Design Theater from Florida Atlantic University and an FX Track Certification from Cinema Makeup School in California, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the community. My love for the stage began at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years.
Outside the classroom, you can find me attending local theater productions, assisting the community of film with makeup, and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance my skills as an educator.
I believe that theater not only fosters self-confidence and self-expression but also nurtures empathy, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
In our theater, we will explore various acting techniques, dive into the world of playwriting, and discover the intricacies of stagecraft. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a collaborative and supportive community. I am dedicated to helping each student and member of our community unlock their full potential.
I am honored to be your new director and look forward to an incredible journey together here at South Plantation High School!
In the first of a series of Meet the Director videos, we sat down with new, incoming theater director Nicolette Trivlis, and asked her the five questions that most people are asking.
Meet The Director premiers on YouTube Friday, July 28 at 5pm!
