Meet the Directors was a great success!
Exciting year ahead for our Paladin arts community!
What a fantastic kickoff we had at our Meet the Directors event on Friday, 08/07 in the South Plantation High School media center!
Principal Alexandra Ries welcomed parents and Friends of the Theater (FOTT), sharing excitement for the year and the challenges, including a fried audio soundboard and aging lighting system. The good news is that Ms. Ries is working with procurement to secure a new soundboard and the lighting dimmer system replacement is approved and she is hoping for installation before our first fall production.
A former high school band member hjimself, we had the honor of Plantation Mayor Nick Sortal joining us to show his support.
Both new directors Shannon Ouellette (theater) and Alphonso Walker (choir / choreography), had the opportunity to share their backgrounds and visions for their respective programs and students.
Finally, new FOTT president Jessica Valenzuela stepped up to share her own excitement and encouraged parent involvement.
A great first meeting — we can’t wait to support Ms. Ouellette, Mr. Walker, and the Paladin Players this season!
